The rug must be hosed down & dryed out before first use so the waxed cotton thread will swell up and expand into all sewn areas enhancing the waterproof treatment.
Ensure rug is completely dry before storing it away.
It is recommended to apply a canvas re-proofing compound before the start of each new season.
